Behavior Specialist Curriculum Pilot

The Georgia Department of Education and Georgia State University are partnering to standardize the competencies demonstrated by educators who serve in the role of a school-based behavior specialist. During the 2020-2021 academic year, we will be piloting a series of workshops for school-based behavior specialists and their supervisors, and we invite school-based behavior specialists and their supervisors to participate and provide feedback.

If you are new to your role and/or if you have limited formal training in behavioral science, tiered systems, and tier 3 coaching, you may benefit from participating in the full schedule of workshops. If you have received formal training in one of the areas below, you may sign up for some but not all of the workshops.

Please note that the target audience for these workshops is currently-employed Georgia school-based behavior specialists and their supervisors. After the 20-21 curriculum pilot, these workshops will be open to educators in other roles.
