CAC Member – Tera Fisher

Meet Tera Fisher, one of CLD’s Community Advisory Council (CAC) members!

Tera is one of the newest CAC members, joining the Council at this year’s annual meeting in June 2018. She is a mother of two children with completely different disabilities. Her daughter has a permanent hip displasia and her son has Aspergers Syndrome. Tera is a board member of the Richmond Hill Aspergers Support Group as well as a part-time educator. Tera was born in Ohio, raised in Michigan, and moved to Georgia with her family to Georgia in 2006 for change and new opportunities. Currently living near Savannah, Tera loves being so close to the coast. “We spend a lot of time at the beach or on the water…on the rivers and the ocean inlets between the islands”.  Tera recently volunteered for the Caretta Research project, a hands-on research, conservation and education program dedicated to studying and protecting loggerhead sea turtles on Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge. This is “something I have wanted to participate in since I was 8”. The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Conscientious, Curious, and Creative.

Thank you, Tera, for all you do for the CAC!
